About the Ensemble
Formed in 2008, Trio YaS-375 consists of saxophonists Tadaomi Yamada and Sadahito Kunisue with pianist Minako Koyanagi. The group presents classical works, saxophone repertoire, songs, and popular music through original arrangements and engaging conversation. Ryota Ishikawa's Night on the Galactic Railroad originated in the trio's fifth self-produced concert in 2013 and has since been performed around Japan as part of Nobuya Sugawa's saxophone recital programme. The name “YaS” combines Yamada, and, and Sadahito; “375” is a playful Japanese reading of Minako, pianist Minako Koyanagi.
